Healing Mechanism

Healing Mechanism
|

All living things have a healing mechanism as part of their system. We are all part of nature and and healing is a quality of nature. We all have cancer cells in our body, all sorts of inflammations, infections and so on… that’s natural and normal. The real problem starts when the body is not able, for some reason, to overcome it - to heel itself.
💜
Healing is a journey that only you can take. It requires courage. No one can heal you, but only you can heal yourself. Or better yet only you can allow healing to happen in you.
💜
It seems like many of us would wish to give this responsibly to another person: a healer, a teacher, a therapist or a doctor.
When in fact they can only hold our hand or show us the way - the rest is on us.
💜
I see the body-mind connection in everything. It’s impossible to disconnect one from the other. It is possible to treat only the body or only the mind, but one will always affect the other, whether we acknowledge it or not.
💜
I believe that illness come as a result of lack of awareness (physical or mental).
I can also say it this way: Wherever there is awareness there is breath, space, oxygen and a good flow of prana, wherever there is a good flow of prana - there the body can practice one of it’s most natural abilities - self healing. Wherever there is no awareness, where there is not enough prana - there illnesses might develop.
💜
Lack of awareness can be a result of many things: traumas, beliefs, environmental conditions, certain kind of education, certain kind of life style, lack of or very limited movement and more. All of those beliefs, trauma and patterns are stored in our body, effecting it’s shape, it’s function and it’s health. In those places that self-healing mechanism of the body doesn’t seem to work as well.
💜
To cultivate awareness we need to move and change. In nature everything moves and changes constantly.
💜
Yoga is a good form of movement, but we need to stay curious and be ready and able to change. If a person is too stagnant and fixated within the practice - that can be a cause of lack of awareness.
💜
And so I would conclude and say that a journey of healing requires a lot of courage: since it requires honesty - being able to see and acknowledge what you see, it requires acceptance of what is, and it requires the desire to change and grow.
