Here are some Alignment tips for this powerful asana:
1. Make Sure that the bent knee is just above it’s ankle, that the thigh is parallel and that the shin is perpendicular to the ground. 
2. make sure that your torso isn’t leaning towards the bent leg side - bring to torso back to center, so that the shoulders will be just above the hips.
3. Only after aligning the body in the asana turn the head - looking forward will make it easier for you to find the right alignment of it. 
4. After turning the head - with your physical eyes look forward, but with your mental eyes look backwards.
